Weekday Nursery School of Northport Preschool for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, Kindersteps Program and more.... Children expand their problem-solving skills as they learn to work and play together.

Weekday Nursery School is a non-profit, state licensed preschool that has been operating since 1970. Our staff members are experienced, nurturing and committed to developing each child's potential. Activities that foster self-esteem and socialization are provided through a hands-on developmentally appropriate curriculum. We offer a one-of-a-kind educational experience that prepares students for the academic rigors of elementary school. Fine Art, STEAM, Music and Movement, Spanish and Yoga are all part of our weekly curriculum. We have a full size gym, as well as an engaging playground for our students.

Today was one of our favorite Weekday traditions: our Rock Dedication Ceremony! 🪨❤️

After reading the story *Only One You*, our graduates created their own special rocks, each one as unique & wonderful as they are. 🌈✨

As they get ready to spread their wings and head off to kindergarten, they left their rocks behind as a lasting reminder that they will always be a part of our Weekday family! 💙

Just like the message in the book, we hope they always remember that there is only one of them and that their unique gifts can make a difference in the world. 🌟

We are so proud of our little graduates & the special mark they've left on our hearts...and now on our rock garden too! 🎓🪨💕

Our Weekday teachers traveled the world this Teacher Appreciation Week with stops in Italy 🍕, France 🗼, Asia 🥢, and Hawaii 🌺 because Weekday Teachers Are the Best in the World!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible board and amazing families for showering our teachers with so much love all week long. From the delicious lunches and thoughtful gifts to the decorations, treats, and sweet surprises, every single detail made this week so special!

And of course, the BIGGEST thank you goes to our wonderful teachers...the heart of Weekday!!! Thank you for the love, patience, creativity, laughter, hugs, dancing, teaching, and magic you bring to our little learners every single day. We are beyond lucky to have you! ✨
