Wednesday, September 9 will be TCSS Book Character Day for United Way!

📚 TCSS Book Character Day for United Way is our annual student drive for United Way of West Alabama. This year, we are celebrating the one millionth book distributed in West Alabama by the Dolly Parton Imagination Library! Our local Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a program of the United Way of West Alabama. The Imagination Library sends a free book each month to children ages birth to five years, no matter the family’s income.

🗓️ On Wednesday, September 9, TCSS students, faculty, and staff can celebrate the Imagination Library and the importance of reading by wearing something representative of their favorite book.

🫶 Students may also bring a monetary contribution of any amount. All contributions will go to United Way of West Alabama.

We can't wait to see our students' creativity!

Parents and Guardians: This is a reminder for this year, as previously sent in our Back to School ParentSquare Message, school starts at 7:55. Please do not drop off your child if there is not a staff member outside to greet and receive them. If your child arrives to school after 7:55, a parent or guardian will need to check the child in to the front office.

It was a fantastic first day of school! We loved welcoming our students back. There were so many smiles and hugs that made today so special, but today would not have been a success without our amazing faculty and staff! We can’t wait for Day 2 with our students!

If you have a kindergartener needing to ride the bus this school year, please see this important reminder.

Important Reminder for Our Incoming Kindergarten Families!

In order for your kindergarten student to ride the bus on the first day of school, you must register them with the TCSS Transportation Department NO LATER THAN JULY 31.

If registered after that date, they will not be able to ride until later in August.
