Walker Elementary School The purpose of this page is to keep all of our stakeholders up to date on news and events held here Walker Elementary School was established in 1973.

The school is in Samantha, Alabama which is located in the northern section of
Tuscaloosa near the Fayette County line. Walker's faculty and staff pride themselves in being a close-knit community school. Our students, parents, and stakeholders share in our vision for the students' future, are actively involved, and take ownership of student achievement and school upkeep. We are a part of the North

side High School cluster in the Tuscaloosa County School System, which consists of Walker Elementary, Northside Middle, and Northside High School.

We appreciate our SRO Jason Jones, TCSS Safety Coordinator Jason Powell, and Sergeant Stevens from Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office for being here today to help us with our safety drills. Having them here helps our staff and students feel prepared and know what to do in an emergency.

Several of our students also took the time to thank our law enforcement officers for helping keep our school safe. Those little moments mean a lot. 🩵🚔

🚗 Friendly Car Rider Reminder!

Please remember not to pass other cars in the morning car rider line. When cars pass, students may be unloading from vehicles, creating a serious safety hazard.

We would also like to offer a gentle reminder to put phones away while in the drop-off and pick-up lines. Staying alert and focused helps us keep traffic moving smoothly and, most importantly, ensures the safety of all students, staff, and families.

We know mornings and afternoons can be busy, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to provide a safe environment for everyone. Thank you for helping us keep our Rams safe! 💙🐏
