NIS will be taking a field trip to Washington DC May 3rd-7th. This trip is open to all NIS students. Informational packets and registration forms are available in the office and snack shack. Please remember that students who wish to attend MUST have a parent or legal guardian accompany them. All registration and money are to be turned into E&L Travel.

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on two amazing members of our Northport Intermediate family—Mrs. Halper and Ms. Williams! 🐾

These outstanding 6th Grade Science teachers bring more than 17 years of combined experience to the classroom and have a passion for making science exciting, meaningful, and engaging for their students. They love sharing their enthusiasm for science and inspiring students to ask questions, explore, and discover! 🌎🧪🔍

We are looking for applicants for TCSS U! This ia an AMAZING program for parents and community members who are very interested in education and schools. The program gives a better understanding of issues facing our schools and how to become an advocate for schools and students in our community.

We’re excited to welcome our NIS families into the building for Open House! We can’t wait for you to see where your students spend their days and meet the teachers who work with them each day.

5th Grade Open House
Tuesday, September 15
5:30–6:30 PM

6th Grade Open House
Thursday, September 17
5:30–7:00 PM

During Open House, parents will follow their student’s schedule, visiting each class and meeting their teachers. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your child’s classes, teachers, and daily experience at NIS.

We look forward to seeing our families and showing you what makes Northport Intermediate School such a special place to learn!
