We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the school year! Our building was filled with smiling faces, lots of laughter, learning, and plenty of Lion pride.
We are so excited for all of the adventures, growth, friendships, and memories this year will bring. Thank you to our incredible students, staff, and families for making our first week such a special one!

Our building was filled with smiles, laughter, excitement, and so much Lion pride as we welcomed our students back today! We absolutely loved seeing all of our amazing students walk through the doors and begin another year of learning, growing, and making memories together.
There is nothing better than having our halls filled with our Leroy Lions again! We are so excited for all the adventures this school year will bring.

🍦💚 Popsicles & Play with our Kindergarteners! 💛🦁

We had such a great time at Popsicles & Play! Our incoming kindergarten students had the chance to meet new friends, play together, enjoy a sweet treat, and get more comfortable before their first day of school! 🍦☀️
We loved seeing so many smiles and new friendships already beginning. We can’t wait to welcome our newest Leroy Lions and kick off an amazing school year! 🦁💚💛

Yesterday was our first day back together as a Leroy Elementary staff, and we couldn’t be more excited! 💚🦁
The staff is filled with energy, smiles, and excitement as we prepare for an incredible school year. Our staff has been hard at work collaborating, and planning meaningful learning experiences for our students.
We can’t wait to welcome our Lions back soon and begin another year of learning, growing, and making memories together. Here’s to an amazing school year at Leroy Elementary!

Construction Update
Due to the ongoing construction at Leroy Elementary and the timing of being back in the building, we will not be able to hold our traditional Meet & Greet before the first day of school.

We know how much our students, families, and staff value this event. Meeting teachers, seeing classrooms, and becoming familiar with the school helps ease first-day jitters for both students and parents. We truly understand how important this tradition is, and we sincerely apologize that we are unable to offer it this year.

Instead, we will be combining all of our Meet & Greet activities with our Back-to-School Night on Thursday, August 27th, from 4:30–6:00 p.m. Families will have the opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms, learn about classroom expectations and routines, have a free hot dog dinner and connect with our Leroy staff. We are looking forward to celebrating the start of a wonderful school year together!

While the construction has required some flexibility, we are incredibly excited to welcome our Leroy community back into a beautifully updated school. These improvements represent a significant investment in our students and will enhance the learning environment for years to come.

When you visit, you'll notice many exciting upgrades, including:

A newly improved parking lot

Fresh paint throughout classrooms and hallways

New classroom sinks and cabinets

Updated air conditioning systems to provide a more comfortable learning environment

New internet and server infrastructure to better support teaching and learning

A beautiful new mural that will help warmly welcome our students, families, and community to Leroy Elementary

We can't wait to share these exciting improvements with you! Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding throughout the construction process. We are so grateful for your continued support and look forward to welcoming everyone back for an amazing school year.

Teacher Assignments
Teacher assignments will be available in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal on Friday, July 31st to parents that have completed their online check in. Please log in to your Parent Portal to view your child's teacher before the first day of school.

Important Information for Bus Families
This information applies only to students who will be riding the bus.

On the first day of school only, families of bus riders are welcome to drive their child to school instead of having them ride the bus in the morning. This gives students the opportunity to bring in their school supplies and meet their teacher before the school day begins.

If your child will be riding the bus this school year, please:

Email your child's teacher.

Teachers will also be reaching out to families, but hearing from you helps us verify transportation plans and ensures that every student who should receive bus transportation is accounted for. This communication helps us provide a safe and smooth transition between home and school from the very first day.

First Day of School
The first day is always exciting! We will have several additional staff members throughout the building to welcome students, answer questions, and help everyone find their classrooms.

Kindergarten Families
Kindergarten students will begin the first day in one of the kindergarten classrooms. During the first few days, students will rotate through each kindergarten teacher and classroom before final classroom placements are made.

Final kindergarten classroom assignments will be shared on Friday, August 14th.

Our staff will be available to support kindergarten students and families throughout the morning, so please don't hesitate to ask for assistance.

Need Help?
A Welcome & Resource Table will be located at the front entrance of the school on the first day. Staff members will be available to answer questions, provide directions, and help make your arrival as smooth as possible.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate the final stages of construction. We are looking forward to welcoming our students back and beginning an incredible school year together.

Last Wednesday, May 13th, we celebrated our fabulous volunteers! 🌻 Their time, dedication, and love make such a difference for our students and school, and we couldn’t let the year end without saying a huge THANK YOU. With summer on our minds, we showered them with sunflowers because they are truly a ray of sunshine in our school community and deserve it all! ☀️💛
