🎲🦁 Family Game Night Fun! 🦁🎲

Last Thursday, we hosted our annual Family Game Night, and what a fun night it was! 💚💛

Families came together to enjoy games, laughter, and quality time with one another. And the best part? Every family got to take a board game home to continue the fun together! 🎉

We especially loved seeing our students proudly show their parents how to play some of their favorite games. 🥰🎲 These are the moments that make our Leroy family so special! Adams 12 Five Star Schools

📸 Check out some of the fun pictures from this amazing night! And a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make Family Game Night such a success! 💚💛🦁

🎉🔤 ABC Bootcamp Parade! 🔤🎉

Our kindergarteners had so much fun celebrating the completion of their ABC Bootcamp! 🦁💚💛

After working hard to learn all 26 letters and their sounds, our youngest Lions paraded through the school while students and staff cheered them on! 🎉 Each kindergartener designed a special vest featuring a letter and pictures of things that represent that letter and its sound.

We are SO proud of our kindergarteners and all of their hard work! Way to go, Lions! 🦁📚✨

🚨🦁 SPOTLIGHT ALERT! 🦁🚨

We’re kicking off our Leroy Staff Spotlight for the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉

This year, we’re asking our amazing staff two fun questions:

✨ How long have you worked at Leroy?
💚 Why Leroy?

We want our Leroy families to get to know the incredible people who make our school so special! And of course… we HAD to start with our fearless leaders! 👑🦁

💚💛 MEET OUR PRINCIPALS! 💛💚

👑 Principal Mrs. Caligiuri (RIGHT)
🦁 6 sensational years at Leroy — 2 years as Assistant Principal + 4 years as Principal!

“I love Leroy because of the people. Our students, families, and staff make this place incredibly special and it's unlike any other place I have ever worked. There is a genuine love and care for one another here that goes far beyond the walls of our school. As principal, I feel incredibly lucky to be part of a community that has truly become an extension of my own family. I care deeply about our kids, I believe deeply in our teachers, and I’m so proud of the way we show up for and take care of each other. Leroy is more than a school—it’s a family, and I couldn’t be more proud and honored to belong to this community.” 💚🦁💛

👑 Assistant Principal Mrs. Tunget (LEFT)
🦁 6 years at Leroy — 5 years as a 5th Grade Teacher + 1 year as Assistant Principal!

“Leroy Elementary holds such a special place in my heart. This is where I started my teaching career at just 22 years old. The students at Leroy taught me so much about what it truly means to be a teacher, and the Leroy community welcomed me with open arms and quickly became family.

Our students and families are truly special, and I love the positivity that flows throughout this building. There is something incredibly special about the way the Leroy community takes care of one another and makes everyone feel like they belong.

I am so excited and grateful to be back at the place where my journey began! This time, serving as Assistant Principal. It feels like coming home.

Once a Lion, always a Lion! 🦁💚💛”

We are SO lucky to have these two leading our Leroy Lion family! 🦁💚💛

Stay tuned… 👀✨
More staff spotlights are coming! Get ready to meet the amazing people who make Leroy the special place it is! ❤️

🦁💚 What a GREAT day at Leroy Elementary! 💚🦁
Yesterday was truly one to remember as we celebrated our very first school-wide assembly of the year! 🎉 Our students had an absolute blast participating in fun games, obstacle courses, cheering each other on, and showing their Leroy Lion spirit! 🦁📣 We were also so excited to see our amazing staff jump in and participate alongside our students. It was the perfect way to come together, build community, and celebrate the wonderful start to our school year!

We also had an incredible Back-to-School Night, where our teachers and staff had the opportunity to connect with families, share important information, and begin building strong relationships with our Leroy community. We are so grateful for all of the families who came out and helped make the evening so special!

We are incredibly proud of our students, staff, and families and all that we are already accomplishing together. 💚

Last Wednesday, May 13th, we celebrated our fabulous volunteers! 🌻 Their time, dedication, and love make such a difference for our students and school, and we couldn’t let the year end without saying a huge THANK YOU. With summer on our minds, we showered them with sunflowers because they are truly a ray of sunshine in our school community and deserve it all! ☀️💛
