Classified employees play crucial roles in our schools and communities. From transporting and feeding students to teaching them important skills and ensuring that schools are operating smoothly, classified employees are integral in providing a comfortable and safe learning environment for all students

In 1975, the district’s commitment to hands-on learning took shape with the founding of the Bollman Occupational Center. Initially launched as a vocational education center with programs in auto mechanics, carpentry and electronics, Bollman quickly grew into a hub of opportunity. By 1980, the center, named for longtime school board leader Henry Bollman, offered 11 programs serving more than 750 students from across the district daily. Students explored welding, applied technology, computer-aided design (CAD) and industrial cooperative education in flexible, hands-on environments. Today, the district’s CTE landscape is thriving. With over 5,900 students enrolled annually, both the Bollman and Washington Square campuses are bustling.

When compared to nearby school districts, Adams 12 Five Star Schools ranks 14th out of 15 nearby school districts in per student mill levy override (MLO) dollars. That means we have less money than others for ongoing teacher salaries and academic programming.

We have a solution. If voters pass an MLO in November, the district would secure much-needed funding to invest in safety, world-class staff and academic programming. Learn more at: Adams12.org/MLO-funding
