PSA- I am currently in the process of augmenting my student roster. I have both online and in person lessons available!

I teach with an emphasis on musicianship. This involves a great deal of recording, both audio and video, which fosters the possibility of achieving studio level musicianship. This will also take your level of musical awareness to new heights which will make you a joy for other musicians to play with in a live situation. Students also find it convenient to upload the recorded performances we create together to YouTube, to create an online resume to use when auditioning for bands

To many, this classic drum track by John JR Robinson may seem easy. NOT THE CASE!!

This is a very elusive groove. The 3 consecutive 16th’s on the kick drum are a challenge all by themselves. Very difficult to play them evenly and consistently throughout the entire tune. Then when you add the open hats during the chorus, the difficulty bar gets raised even higher. This tune is a great measuring stick for seeing how in tune your hands and feet are with each other, and also for giving your kick foot a good workout.
