FINAL ASK: Help Us Transform Our Preschool Playground and foster a strong sense of community! 🌟
As Give to the Max Day comes to a close, we’re reaching out with one last heartfelt request.
With your support, we’re working to install a new, nature-inspired playground landscape that will serve children for years to come, and can continue to foster a strong sense of community.

"We discovered Open Door Preschool halfway through the school year, right after our daughter turned three. At the time, we were simply looking for a part-time preschool where she could play with other kids and maybe learn a little along the way. The flexible schedule and hours fit our family perfectly – but what we ended up finding was so much more than childcare. We found a community.
From day one, the teachers made us feel at home. They are truly some of the kindest, most joyful people I’ve ever met, and they set the tone for an environment where kids feel safe, welcomed, and excited to learn. Each week has a theme and a learning focus, but at Open Door the magic is how naturally learning happens through play. Charlotte is always eager to tell me about what they explored that day – science, art, friends, adventures. She even teaches me things sometimes! (Did you know caterpillars come out of chrysalises, not cocoons? I didn’t!)
But the very best part of Open Door is the community it creates. Charlotte doesn’t just “go to preschool” she goes to spend time with her friends. Those friendships have grown beyond the classroom, and we’ve met so many wonderful families through Open Door. It has made living in Northfield feel warmer and even more connected.
What started as a search for a simple part-time preschool became one of the most meaningful parts of our last two years. Open Door Preschool has been a gift to our family, and we’re so grateful to be a part of it."
