bio: Cadet Laitala, from Central Massachusetts and a graduate of Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, enjoys skiing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends in her free time. With an Army nurse contract in place, she is set to commission after graduation. On the hill, she dives for the Women’s Swim and Dive team, where she serves as one of the co-captains and eagerly anticipates the year ahead.

Cadet Dailey was born in South Korea, but grew up in Massachusetts, where he went to highschool at Westford Academy. He enjoys playing guitar, driving cars, and skiing in his free time. He enjoysstudying exercise science and learning how the body functions while working out. At Norwich, C/Dailey holds billets within the Corps and NROTC and is always committed to furthering his knowledge.

C/SSG Hammons is heading into his Junior year here at Norwich University. He is from Hampton, VA, where he did USMC JROTC in high school. In his free time, he enjoys running, and reading works from writers like John C. Maxwell. Cadet Hammons is Marine Corps contracted through Norwich University’s Platoon Leaders Course (PLC) as well as a member of the Boxing Team. He is eager for his first amateur fight!

C/SSG Hrabal is from Kennett Square, PA and is a junior in the Norwich University Corps of Cadets. Cadet Hrabel is in the Army ROTC and a member of the Ranger Challenge team. Along with this, he is a member of the Norwich Artillery Battery and is a Combat Engineer in the Vermont Army National Guard. He is also a firefighter back home and enjoys watching movies in his free time.

A beautiful night to become a Cadet…

Tonight the rooks of foxtrot earned their ranks. A night that seemed so far away has now come and gone so quickly. These cadets have grown tremendously in the last 104 days of their rookdom. They found comradery in one another and learned to turn suffering into growth and achievement.

“Ohana means family”. A special reminder to all the rooks loved ones; friends, family, and significant others to encourage the rooks to stick out these upcoming weeks. As the weather gets colder, school gets harder, and the promise of break seems so close yet so far, it can be a difficult time to be a rook.

Help us keep their motivation up and succeed this close of the semester!!! They will be home soon enough!

Combatives 2!!!
The rooks did a great job learning combatives. A special thank you again to Norwich University Boxing Club and Norwich University Wrestling for helping us out with these awesome trainings and giving us access to these facilities.
