Rico decided he couldn’t wait around any longer and ventured out into the community in search of some fellow geckos!

Hopes were high that he might run into a few at The Blast, but no luck this time. At least an ice cream stop made the search a little sweeter!

The countdown continues... only a few more days until Rico has plenty of friends roaming the halls again!

Rico has officially run out of things to do while waiting for the kids to come back…so he decided to catch up on a little reading to finish his summer reading challenge!

Only 8 more days until Greenvale Park is full of students again!

Coming to Meet the Teacher this week? Come say hi!

The PTO table will be set up throughout Meet the Teacher on Sept 2nd and 3rd, with a PTO member there during these times:

Wednesday, Sept 2: 12-4pm and 5-7pm
Thursday, Sept 3: 8:30-11:30am

Stop by while we’re there to ask questions, learn more about the PTO, find out how you can get involved, or just introduce yourself! We’ll also have Polaris 4-wheeler raffle tickets available for $50 each (cash or check only).

Can’t catch us while the table is staffed? No worries! Our PTO display will still be there for you to check out.

Can’t wait to see you!

The playground is ready… Rico is ready… now we just need the kids!

He’s been doing his best to keep himself entertained while waiting for everyone to come back. Just a little longer, Rico! 🦎

Our mascot, Rico the Gecko, has been going a little stir crazy waiting for the new school year to start! It can get pretty lonely in that building over the summer, so he decided to lend a helping hand to our custodial staff in hopes that maybe the kids would come back a little sooner.

We’re just shy of three weeks from the first day of school, which leaves plenty of time for Rico to find some ways to keep himself busy.

What will he get up to next? Stay tuned to find out!…🦎

Calling all costume closets and basement bins!

Do you have an adult-sized inflatable costume we could borrow? We’re looking to borrow some for a reward level and would be so grateful! If you have one collecting dust, please let us know!

The rumors are true… and it’s finally happening!

We’ve been working on this one for over a year, and we are so excited to finally share it with you!

Thanks to an extraordinarily generous donation from a local business, Greenvale Park PTO has the opportunity to make this year’s fundraiser bigger than ever and raise even more money to support our amazing teachers and students.

The winning ticket will be drawn at our Celebration Event on Friday, September 25 at 6:30 PM!

Tickets will also be available that evening if any remain, but with only 250 available, don’t wait!

And don’t worry, the 4-wheeler raffle is just an exciting addition to our traditional fundraiser. We’ll still have our traditional raffle and silent auction, just like in previous years. The silent auction will be online only again this year, so there will be plenty of other ways to participate and support GVP even if a 4-wheeler isn’t quite your thing.

If you pre-ordered your school supplies through the PTO, they have officially arrived, been unboxed, organized, and labeled!

All pre-ordered supplies will be delivered directly to your student’s classroom before the first day of school.

Please be sure to check your student’s supply list for any additional items or supply fees that were not included in the pre-order.

We’re finally ready to start sharing a few sneak peeks for this year’s GVP Annual Fall Fundraiser.

If you look closely, you might notice a little hint of one of the exciting things we have planned...

We’ve been working behind the scenes all summer, making some exciting changes and adding a few new surprises that we hope our GVP families will love.

Be sure to save the date for a fun evening with friends, family, and our school community. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

School supply boxes for next year are still available through June 21!

If you missed the original ordering window, there’s still time to skip the back-to-school shopping and have your child’s supplies delivered right to their classroom before the first day of school.

The early-bird sale has ended, and boxes are now $5 more per pack. To be transparent, that additional $5 goes directly to the GVP PTO and helps fund programs, events, and opportunities for our students and staff throughout the year.
