Said "see ya later" to this silly, fun, kind, and abundant loving group today on our last day of camp. We had SUCH a blast this summer and I'm SO blessed to have been a part of their adventures. Heres a little poem I wrote about the bitter-sweetness of almost a whole class graduating ❤️ 💔

Beautiful Heartbreak

We planted seeds in garden beds,
then watered, weeded, grew,
watched tiny sprouts turn bold and tall —
just like I’ve watched you.

We wandered through nature paths,
found colors everywhere,
smelled roses sweet, touched leaves so soft,
and danced in summer air.

At Lambs Farm we met gentle sheep,
and lambs with wool so bright,
fed goats and giggled all the way,
our joy in plain sight.

We raced to parks with swings that flew,
and slides both tall and steep,
built castles in the sandbox sand,
and made bellied laughs to keep.

We stirred and poured in science jars,
watched fizz and foam awake,
and squealed when colors swirled and popped
like rainbows only we could make.

We cared for tiny creatures here,
watched wings and whiskers show,
and learned that love is patient work
when you help a life to grow.

Through stories, songs, and silly games,
through art and messy play,
we even fit in potty trips —
a gazillion every day.

Together we became a team,
our village, strong and true,
a family built of laughter, trust,
and love that’s wrapped in you.

And to your moms and dads, I say,
thank you from my heart —
for trusting me to love and guide
your most precious work of art.

Now off you go to bigger things,
to spread your wings and fly,
and I’ll be here with memories
that make me laugh and cry.

Because love like this will fill your heart
then tug it till it aches —
the sweetest kind of letting go,
this beautiful heartbreak. 💛
