Huge THANK YOU to all the families that came out last night to our first ever healthy minds workshop! Our speaker Lani was incredible as expected, and we were so impressed by the studet participation. We are so excited to bring her back next year to continue this important work. The best part is that everyone who attended went home with a ton of specific strategies that we can all use in our daily lives... let's see some of that Lion and Queen snake breathing!!!

⏰ FRIDAY 9/23 is the Last Day to get a tech shirt with your D27 race registration!! Don't miss out! 🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️

Race registration deadline (to guarantee race shirt and lock in discounted price) is THIS FRIDAY, September 23rd! Run to register and register to run. Don’t overthink it, just sign up!

What is in store for Shabonee families:
> Parents can run or walk the 5K at the beautiful Wood Oaks park. Plus, there is a special warm-up by a local fitness studio before you race!
> Kids can enjoy the Hi-Five obstacle course and inflatables at the Wood Oaks school field. A great way to stretch your legs before or after the 1 mile or 5K. Our friends from Ultimate Ninjas will help you get ready for the race with a fun warm-up.
> Everyone will have fun with Bach to Rock DJ music and delicious snacks from local restaurants. Plus, a few special surprises await!

Did you see this image on the cover of the District 27 5K registration page? These kids dashing off for their first 1 mile run are now Glenbrook North sophomores and juniors. In a few years, they might be eligible for the very scholarship that is the reason for the District 27 race. It’s full circle! We come together to run, walk and have fun, for an important cause - raising money for the Rohrabaugh scholarship for outstanding District 27 graduates. So this year, on October 15th, your family can race to support the 5K and one day your child may win this scholarship!
