Greenbriar Art Department

Greenbriar Art Department Greenbriar Elementary School is one of three elementary schools in District 28. This page was create Department of Education.

Greenbriar Elementary School educates close to 390 students in grade K-5. The school was recently awarded the 2013 Blue Ribbon award by the U.S. Kindergarten students attend art once a week for 30 minutes, while students in grades 1-5 have art for a full hour. Here in District 28 we are proud of our fine arts programs and support the development of the whole child.

The Winter Festival of the Arts is off to a great start!!! Students in 1st-4th grade hand selected a piece of art to showcase their visual art talents. They also recorded short video explaining why chose that piece of art. 1st and 2nd also painted the snowflake banners hanging behind the risers, while 3rd and 4th grade created the 3D snowflakes hanging throughout the school. It’s a great way to set the tone for the music performances.
