-I am running for School Committee because every student deserves a choice. Giving our young people the opportunity to make their own decisions helps to build a sense of independence and empowers them to make tough choices with integrity. Our focus needs to be on rigorously preparing all of our children for the complex, diverse, technical, and competitive world that awaits them. It starts with allowing our amazing educators to do what they do best, and that is teaching. That effort cannot and should not sugarcoat the intolerance and injustices of the past or exclude particular points of view. At the same time, it must bring students together, emphasize achievement for all, and avoid the divisive political agendas that foster division and threaten the safe learning environment that we want and need for our children now more than ever.
-Integrity is how I pushed and continued throughout my life. I served in the United States Navy, where I met my husband. I have two amazing children @ Zeh Elementary. I moved to Northborough in 2017 and continued my work in mental health. I have dedicated a lot of time working with fellow vets through the VA. I obtained my bachelor’s in psychology. I am now a LHMC (Mental Health Counselor). I currently work at Westborough Behavioral Mental Healthcare Hospital. Mental health awareness is an important issue for all educators, who are often the first line of defense for our children. I would like to see more integrating comprehensive services and support throughout every grade level here in Northborough. I believe it is extremely crucial to ensure we as a community are assessing mental health needs through universal, selective, and targeted interventions. Providing access to behavioral and mental health services and programs. Lastly, I want to ensure our community starts to build collaborative relationships between the school and students' families here in town.
- It did not take me long to realize how special our town of Northborough truly is. We have an innovative economy and a blooming community filled with beautiful bright future generations. It is time to fight for free choice within our schools. My goal is unity and transparency for our children, and parents within our community. I am running to fight for transparency. I am running to fight for free choice so the best decision for the child is made. It is our constitutional right to have a choice. We the parents need to make the right choice, now. I ask for your vote.
