Located just 4.2 miles from Smith College is Winter Moon Farm in Hadley, MA, one of our favorite local sites to source vegetables for favorite wintertime dishes. What makes these root veggies all the more special is that they are delivered here not by car, but via BIKE CART by Winter Moon's owner, Michael Docter. Docter's practices for farm management, product cultivation, and distribution aim to make Winter Moon a carbon-nuetral enterprise. Read more about the operation at http://bostonorganics.com/Winter-Moon-Farm/ve/WMF.
Doc peddles in with our first delivery tomorrow, Tuesday December 9th! Chase, Cushing/Emerson, Cutter/Ziskind, Hubbard, King/Scales, Lamont, Northrop/Gillett, Morrow/Wilson, & Tyler dining halls will intercept their first bundles of the season-- fresh, hearty carrots! Ehh, what's up Doc?
