High quality early education and care for families of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

“It is our vision that each child who comes through our door joins a community of children, families, and teachers engaged in the joy, work, and wonder of childhood.”

The philosophies of the Reggio Emilia Approach to early education and care; the RIE Approach (Resources for Infant Educarers); and, current research in early childhood development inspire the practice of the teachers and administrators at Fort Hill.

Outdoor painting on the preschool playground! In harmony with our deep investigation of color, preschoolers are working on a collaborative painting using only the primary colors, but multiple shades of those colors. The first day children painted with shades of yellow (pale yellow, bright yellow, golden, chartreuse.) The second day they painted with shades of blue (sky blue, bright blue, turquoise, teal.) The third day they painted with shades of red (bright red, pink, maroon, terra cotta.)
