A student-led fundraiser benefiting the Western Mass Asylum Support Network, a grassroots, volunteer-run, mutual aid initiative that provides asylum seekers in Western Mass with the resources, information, community and support they need to transition to and thrive in this country. In honor of Smith Arts Day, we will be selling handmade student art as a part of our fundraising efforts.”

Smith’s Community Service Organization invites you all to join us for an Open Mic Fundraiser in honor of National Poetry Month (April)! This event will take place in Smith’s Poetry Center on April 26th from 6pm-8pm. You are welcome to share poetry, stories, music, etc! Admission is free but drinks cost $5 and the proceeds will be donated to Books Through Barsworking to protect freedom of speech. There will also be poet-themed mocktails at the Open Mic! We hope to see you there for a fun evening of poetry (or other arts) and supporting important freedom of speech organizations!

Resuming this Sunday, Feb. 9th, 2-3 pm in the Jandon Center - The Connection Collective.
The Connection Collective is a peer- facilitated gathering that is an opportunity to incorporate more self-care and mindfulness, as well as establish new connections and community at Smith.

Everyone is welcome!

Gatherings will take place most Sundays this semester. There will not be a meeting Sunday, February 16th.

Take a break and get creative with the Jandon Center Maker Kits! Check out a sneak peak of one of the kits and a finished project!

This is open to all Smith College, and staff/faculty. From friendship bracelet making to journal decorating, these kits are perfect for relaxing and recharging. The kits can be picked up at the Jandon Center, and be checked out for 2 weeks. It can be done in your dorm, office, The Jandon Center, or anywhere else. Side Note: The reusable bags and other borrowed materials should be returned to create more kits for other people to enjoy.
