In this workshop we will focus on components of physical research through the study of improvisation, floor techniques, and structured material in order to discover the complexities and range of our movement potential. Our goal is to develop an understanding of the sources of movement patterns to bring clarity and depth into the way we enact physicality and movement research.

los little guys is a Mexico-USA based project that began between Erik Elizondo and Dimitri Kalaitzidis in 2017. Since their foundation they have engaged in residencies, created and performed original and collaborative work, and offered classes and workshops throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Primarily utilizing improvisation as a method of movement creation, the motivation behind their work is to continuously find ways to reeducate the body through the interaction between imagination and physical space. The name “los little guys” was conceived out of the desire to always allow playfulness to be a part of their practice. They have had the pleasure to teach at places such as b12 Festival, Festival Internacional Kinissis, SUB.LAB Budapest, New York University, Gibney Dance, Boston Conservatory, Iceland Dance Company, Milk Shake Project, VERVE Northern Contemporary School of Dance, Marameo Berlin, nunArt Guinardó, A Cielo Abierto, Achoradas Festival, Circuit-Est Centre Chorégraphique, Talleres Al Margen, El Entresuelo, and Nritya Shakti amongst others.
