Fall is Calling! Hello September! 🍎🍂

We are busy, busy, busy and we want your family to be a part in our outreach! All of our regular family programs start back today, including Play 2 Learn, Circle of Parents, and Ready, Set, Learn. We still have availability in our Circle of Parents and Ready, Set, Learn programs if you are interested in joining!

Circle of Parents is a parent support group, meeting on Tuesdays at 11:30am, that provides lunch for families and childcare during the group meeting.

Ready, Set, Learn is our kindergarten readiness program for families of children preparing for kindergarten. We have availability at 4 of our 5 locations.

In honor of Dolly’s passing, we will have our Dolly replica in our lobby available Monday, August 31st through Wednesday, September 1st. Families are welcome to come by and respectfully take photos with “Dolly” during our normal office hours from 8am-4:30pm. Our office is located at 1915 West Park Dr, Suite 107, North Wilkesboro.

Our door will be marked with a large pink bow. 🎀

Play 2 Learn registration for the fall session is OPEN for families new families and families wishing to repeat Play 2 Learn. Sessions start the week of Sept 1. This is a 12 week program for families with young children (birth to five years). Pre-registration is required and can be done online at https://www.wilkeschildren.org/play2learn .

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton. She gave the world beautiful music but her legacy is so much more. She came from humble beginnings, but never forgot her community. Dolly knew that the life of each child matters and that reading had the power to bring children hope and opportunity. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library has served families across the nation for 31 years, bringing each participating family the joy of reading. Dolly lived a life of love and purpose, and her impact will be felt for generations to come.
