✅ BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED

We are pleased to announce that the Boil Water Notice has been lifted.

The water samples collected following the water main repair have all tested clean, and, with the guidance and approval of the Maine Drinking Water Program, the boil water notice is now officially lifted.

Normal use of your water may resume immediately for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and all other household purposes.

Brown or Discolored Water: Some members may still notice temporary brown or discolored water as a result of the recent water main repair. This is caused by naturally occurring minerals being stirred up in the water mains and is not uncommon after this type of work. If you experience discoloration, run your cold water for several minutes until it clears before doing laundry or using hot water.

We sincerely appreciate everyone's patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout this repair and precautionary boil water notice. We would also like to thank our Public Works crew, the laboratory staff, and the Maine Drinking Water Program for their assistance in ensuring the safety of our community's drinking water.

BOIL WATER NOTICE UPDATE

The Boil Water Notice remains in effect at this time.

Water samples have been collected and submitted to the laboratory for testing. We expect to receive the results later today.

Once the results have been reviewed, we will consult with the Maine Drinking Water Program. As soon as we receive authorization, we will provide another update regarding the status of the boil water notice.

Until the notice is lifted, please continue to boil all water used for:

* Drinking
* Cooking and food preparation
* Making ice
* Brushing teeth
* Washing fruits and vegetables
* Preparing infant formula

Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute, then allow it to cool before use. Bottled water may also be used for these purposes.

Brown or Discolored Water:
Some members may continue to notice brown or discolored water following the water main repair. This is caused by naturally occurring minerals being stirred up in the water mains and is temporary. Running your **cold water** for several minutes will usually clear the discoloration. We also recommend waiting until the water runs clear before doing laundry.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. We expect to have another update later today after we receive the laboratory results and speak with the Maine Drinking Water Program.

BROWN OR DISCOLORED WATER

COMMUNITY WATER PRESSURE NOTICE

Due to water main repairs on Old Portland Road, members all over the community may experience reduced water pressure while the work is being completed today.

If your home lost water service completely at any time during these repairs, please boil your water until further notice. A complete loss of water pressure may allow contaminants to enter the water system.

Boil Water Instructions:

Bring all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, or preparing infant formula to a rolling boil for at least one (1) minute.

Allow the water to cool before using or storing it.

You may also use bottled water for these purposes.

Our Public Works crew is working to restore normal service as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these necessary repairs.
