PlayWorks Child Center Quality care and preschool education for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.

Philosophy::
PlayWorks Child Center aims to provide children a nurturing environment in which to grow and learn. Hands-on learning facilitated by caring teachers is intended to develop creativity and self-esteem. Early care and education are fostered through both understanding and respect for the child and family. Parents are encouraged to work in partnership with the teachers to provide an atmosphere that is inviting for children and parents alike. Our Goal::
The goal is to provide children with exciting new experiences based not on formal academics, but on the principle that play is the child’s work.

Today, our preschoolers had a very special visitor! Joel, a firefighter with the Lebanon Fire Department, joined us to talk about fire safety and show the children some of the gear firefighters wear during an emergency.

The children were able to see and touch his helmet and face mask while learning an especially important lesson. Firefighters may look and sound different when they are wearing all of their gear, but they are there to help! Joel encouraged the children not to be scared or hide from a firefighter during an emergency.

Our preschoolers had so much fun learning and exploring the gear. A huge thank you to Joel for helping our children learn about fire safety! 🔥🚒

This fall, these awesome kiddos are heading off on a brand-new adventure—kindergarten!

Last week, they got a sneak peek of what’s ahead with a visit and tour of Elm Hill School.

Best wishes to each of them as they begin this exciting new chapter! 💚
