This is a great weekend to get ahead on fundraising for the NSPTO Fun Run on September 25th! Our goal is to raise $25,000! We have already raised $4,266 and have almost unlocked our first whole-school reward! Each time we hit our target, every child in the school gets to receive an award or participate in a special day. Check out the incentives below:

Donations:

$5,000 = Northie Sticker & Pajama Day

$11,000 = Sports Jersey Day

$16,000 = Stuffed Animal Day & extra recess

$20,000 = NSES Flash Lights for Read in the Dark Day

$25,000 = Principal Pep Rally!

Donations from All 50 States = Crazy Hair Day on event day

A Donation from Canada, UK, Ireland or Australia = Freeze pops for event – UNLOCKED!

Top class from each grade = Glow Party

Top Class Schoolwide = Texas Roadhouse Field Trip

Top Raiser in School = Northie Golden Hoot Champion = Principal for the Day & ride to school in a police car

Top 5 Raisers = Northie Soaring Stars = Check out a police car and play a game with Officer Joey

We had the BEST time welcoming our students back to NSES this week. Their smiling faces and warm hugs were just what we needed to make the first few days so special.

In the upcoming week, we will be welcoming our Preschool students, having Kindergarten's "Reveal Day", and hosting Kindergarten Open House. Our students in grades 1 - 4 will continue to get to know their teachers and classmates, and learn all about the year ahead. Happy Monday, NSES! 💚💛

It takes a village to support our schools and today, we would like to highlight our community partners who helped us welcome our teachers and staff back to the 26-27 school year.

First, our amazing NSPTO stocked our staff lounge with a beautiful variety of snacks and school supplies! We truly appreciate the care and thought they put into this beautiful display!

We would also like to thank Bay State Books for a generous book donation! When we contacted them over the summer with an idea for a back-to-school surprise for our staff, they knew just how to help! Teachers need “down time” too, and a good book and cup of tea is a perfect self-care remedy. Special thanks to Kevin Eager, our fabulous Building Based Sub for his spectacular wrapping talent!

We love our staff and our teachers!! We want to take extra special care of them because they take such extra special care of our students. We appreciate our community partners who help us to do that! 💚💛

Happy Sunday, NSES!

We hope you are having an amazing summer! ☀️

We miss you and we have been planning and preparing for an amazing year! Last week, while our back drop off loop was getting an upgrade, we met some of our newest Kindergarten students at Pacheco Park. We can already tell that they are going to bring so much joy, energy, and heart to our school. Please join us in welcoming them to Kindergarten!! 💚💛

Attention all 2026 - 2027 Kindergarten Families: Playground with the Principals is this Wednesday, July 8, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at PACHECO PARK!

The back portion of our parking lot is being torn up beginning Wednesday morning. It was originally scheduled to begin early last week, but with the extreme heat (and now rain), the start date has been shifted.

We look forward to seeing you.

This might be one of the fastest school years on record!?! It's hard to believe we have reached the end of the 2025 - 2026 school year. Last week, we celebrated our youngest to our oldest students, with a Preschool Carnival, Kindergarten Friendship Day, and Grade 4 Advancement Ceremony​​​​​​. Although it was warm (or hot), it was worth the time celebrating all the growth made!

Please see below for the final Family News of the school year. Kindergarten - Grade 4 Report Cards will be available on the Parent Portal at 3:00 p.m. on June 17!

We will be in touch in August with teacher assignments and beginning-of-the-year information!

Happy Friday, NSES!!

We hope you had a wonderful week! We are very busy this time of year, and all of it involves wonderful celebrations and memories. From presentations to field trips, there is a lot going on at NSES!

Of course, one of our favorite things to celebrate our our students who receive Positive Phone Calls! This week we honored students in preschool and kindergarten. These students were nominated for their growth, their sparkling personalities, and for the ways they make our school special. We are so proud of them!
