✨ A little creativity to welcome you into our new space!

Miss Courtney put her artistic skills to work and created this one-of-a-kind doormat for the entrance to our new office! 🎨

While Courtney handled this creative touch, our entire therapy team has had a hand in reimagining our space—sharing ideas about how we can improve efficiency, make better use of our rooms, and most importantly, expand our programming and serve more students. 🎶🎨💃

But this doormat is just the beginning of what’s new… 👀

Next week, we’ll be sharing a full video tour of our new office AND revealing how we’ve completely reconfigured our North Royalton studio. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the changes we’ve made, why we made them, and how these new spaces are creating even more possibilities for our students and programming.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and we’re SO excited to finally show you what’s on the other side of this door. 💙

There’s still time to join our after-school Music Therapy & Art Therapy groups, but registration for the Fall Semester closes tomorrow, September 7!

Beginning the week of September 14, Beyond Words: Music, Art & Dance Center will offer small-group, after school classes for students at St. Columbkille. Through music and art, students will have opportunities to create, connect, build skills and have fun with their peers! 💙

🍂 Fall Semester: September 14–November 18
🎵 Music Therapy and 🎨 Art Therapy – Grades 1–4 & 5–8
⏰ Classes meet after school from 2:45–3:30 PM

✨ Moving Day = COMPLETE! ✨

What was our office just a few days ago has officially been transformed into our new LARGE GROUP ROOM! 🎶🎨🙌

Creating this additional space was such an important part of our expansion. With our music and art classes starting next week, having another large room gives us the flexibility to expand our programming, welcome more students and create even more opportunities to learn, create, connect, and grow together. 💛

It’s pretty amazing to look at these pictures and see how quickly this space went from office chaos 📦😅 to a room that will soon be filled with instruments, art supplies, creativity, and our students!

We are SO excited to put this new space to use and officially begin this next chapter at Beyond Words: Music, Art & Dance Center! 🎉

📦 TOMORROW IS MOVING DAY! 🎉

If our office looks a little chaotic right now… that’s because it absolutely is. 😂 Boxes, instruments, supplies, furniture... you name it, it’s probably piled somewhere waiting for its new home!

And in the meantime, our therapists are making it work wherever they can… even if that means setting up camp on the floor of a tiny room. 🤣🎶

Tomorrow, our team is tackling "Moving & Organizing Day" as we put the finishing touches on our expanded space and get everything ready for classes to begin on Tuesday! We’ve been painting, organizing, moving, rearranging and preparing for this moment the past month and we are SO CLOSE. 🙌

We can’t wait to show you the finished space very, very soon! 👀✨

🎉 Celebrating 6 Years of Miss Melaina! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating Miss Melaina and her 6th work anniversary with Beyond Words! Over the years, Melaina has been an incredibly dedicated, dependable and supportive member of our team. She brings so much care and enthusiasm to her role as an adapted dance instructor, while always being a wonderful co-worker and teammate.

We are so grateful for everything she brings to our dancers, families and team. We’re so lucky to have you, Miss Melaina! 💃✨

🍂 Fall semester officially starts TOMORROW!

Our team has been busy behind the scenes getting Beyond Words ready to welcome our students for another semester! From organizing instruments and materials to refreshing our physical spaces, we’ve been putting lots of time and care into preparing for a great semester ahead.

So far, we’ve:
✨ Repainted our bathroom
✨ Refreshed Session Rooms A, C & F
✨ Added some new instruments, including this electronic drum set! 🥁

And Miss Emma was more than happy to give it a test run! 🎶🙌

You’ll also notice that our new Studio F looks a little different. Formerly our art studio, Studio F is now a flexible therapy space designed specifically for students who are most successful with fewer environmental distractions and less sensory stimulation. The room can be adapted for either music or art therapy, allowing our therapists to create an environment that best supports each individual student. Sometimes, creating the right space is just as important as choosing the right intervention. 💛

We can’t wait to officially kick off another semester at Beyond Words! 🍂🎵🎨💃

Today we’re celebrating Miss Julie’s 3-year work anniversary with Beyond Words! Over the past three years, Julie’s experience, creativity and dedication have made such an impact on both our clients and our team. She is a talented music therapist, a dependable and supportive coworker and someone who is always willing to share her knowledge and bring new ideas to the table. Her leadership and collaborative spirit continue to help our team grow stronger.

🎨🎶 After-School Art & Music Therapy is enrolling at St. Columbkille!

Beyond Words is excited to return to St. Columbkille for the 2026–2027 school year, offering after-school Music Therapy and Art Therapy groups designed specifically for St. Columbkille students!

Classes begin the week of September 14 and are offered for students in Grades 1–8, with age-appropriate groups on Mondays and Wednesdays. These small-group programs provide a fun, supportive environment where students can build social, emotional, communication, creative and developmental skills through music and art. 💙
