I came to the United States from Costa Rica 35 years ago, and I understand firsthand the challenges of adapting to a new country and language. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1995, but after starting my family, I discovered my true passion—teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). I changed my career path, earned a Master’s in Bilingual Education, and became a certified teacher i

n Texas. Four years ago, I also achieved the honor of becoming a National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy: Reading–Language Arts, a rigorous process that helped me grow as an educator and strengthen the quality of my teaching. For the past 19 years, I have been dedicated to teaching English to adults, and now I’m excited to launch my own ESL school. My mission is not only to teach you English, but also to help you adapt, thrive, and succeed in this country—just as I have.
