At The Misfit Artist Company, we are committed to building a rehearsal environment that is not only neuroinclusive but also neuroaffirming. That means we plan ahead for the fact that some spaces, sounds, and transitions can feel overwhelming, even when everyone is having fun and doing great work.

We have officially purchased hearing protection earmuffs and added them to our Accessibility + Sensory Support Table, which will be available at every rehearsal alongside:
• Ear plugs (and yes, Miss Stephanie uses them too when she is feeling overstimulated!)
• A sensory basket with a variety of fidgets and grounding tools

These supports are available for any student at any time. No questions asked. No explanations needed.

Neurodivergent brains are not “too much.” They deserve thoughtful, practical accommodations that help everyone stay regulated, confident, and ready to create. We are proud to keep learning, listening, and putting real tools in place that support our artists.
