Please join me in welcoming Courtney Abbate as our new Assistant Principal.

Mrs. Abbate brings a strong background in educational leadership, instructional support, and student services. She most recently served as an Assistant Principal with DeSoto County School District and previously served as a Dean of Students and MTSS Coordinator.

In addition to her leadership experience, Mrs. Abbate brings valuable classroom experience as both a kindergarten teacher and a K–5 learning support teacher.

We are excited to welcome the depth of experience and perspective she brings to our school community.

Only Day 4, and our Lamarque Lions are already working hard! 🦁📚
Our 4th graders are practicing collaborative discussions in Ms. Scarzafava’s class, while Mrs. Alexander’s students are responding to texts and engaging in thoughtful peer discussions. Students in Mrs. Standriff’s and Mrs. McFarlane’s classes are building their math knowledge.
Our kindergarteners are busy learning and working together! Mrs. Duffey’s class is collaborating in centers, while Mrs. Sapeha’s students are strengthening their cutting skills. Our 2nd graders are excited to visit the Media Center with Mrs. Murphy, and 5th graders in Mrs. Huffman’s class are learning about plot diagrams.
We are so proud of the learning, collaboration, and excitement happening across Lamarque! 💙🦁

A huge thank you to all of our Lamarque families who joined us for Meet the Teacher! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as we kicked off a new school year together. 💙🦁
