The 11th of November is known throughout the world as Armistice Day or Remembrance day. It was meant as a day to remember those who had fallen during the Great War of 1914-1918. Later the United States changed it to Veteran's Day as a way to honor and celebrate those who have heeded their nation's call and rose to the challenge of military service.
So we would like to take a moment to both remember, and to thank those who have given so much in the service of their country. Those who have left their families behind to serve.
Thank you so much, we wouldn't be who we are without you.

245 years ago, over six months after the American Revolution began, the Continental Congress resolved that two battalions of Marines be raised for the coming struggle.
While the strength of the Marines never reached two battalions during the American revolution, what was born would become the world's deadliest fighting force who's illustrious history would see honors and laurels won over the next two and a half centuries.
Marines who served and fought in the Vietnam War would continue to exemplify the Marine Corps' values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. Their steadfast determination and strong sense of brotherhood would see them overcome incredible odds during one of America's longest wars.
Today Marines all over the globe celebrate this day as the birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

As we celebrate the birth of the United States, we remember all those who weren’t home to celebrate it because they were overseas defending it. Take a moment in your celebrations today and remember those who never got to celebrate another 4th of July because they paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Memorial Day is a very sobering and humbling day. It is a day that we should all take pause and think about what has been given so that we can live the lives that we do. For us as reenactors it means something even more, it once again reminds us of why we do what we do.
We do this for them. Those who could not come home. Those who loved their country so much that they went into the worst conditions imaginable, and fought and gave up their lives for the freedoms that they believed in and that we enjoy because of their sacrifice. We do this for those who did not return to wives, mothers, sweethearts, siblings and/or children, so that their stories and their legacy is never forgotten. We do this for them.

Today we remember the 58,318 men and women who gave the last full measure of devotion for the country they loved so much during the Vietnam War
Semper Fi.
We thank them, and we will never forget them.

We would like to thank all a those who served in the Vietnam War. You are heroes. Thank you so much for all you gave in service to our country.

March 29th is National Vietnam War Veterans Day. On March 29, 1973, the last remaining American troops withdrew from Vietnam, and President Nixon declared “the day we have all worked and prayed for has finally come.”

Today we honor and remember all the brave men and women who served during the Vietnam War and their families who sacrificed so much. Let us give these veterans the long overdue recognition and welcome home they deserve!

On this day in 1968 the siege of Khe Sahn started.
The siege would continue for 77 days. While not considered part of the Tet Offensive, General Westmoreland was convinced that Khe Sahn was the main objective of the Tet Offensive and that all the other attacks were merely meant to occult his forces, when in reality it was the other way around.

We salute the men and women who served in the Vietnam War, and those who fought at Khe Sahn, including India Company, 3/26 who were stationed on Hill 881S during the siege.
