A new Fur Trader song called 'Amen, Pioneer (Or Hard Livin' in the Age of Aquarius)' is out today.

I felt like I needed to release something this year that somewhat captured the moment I find myself in. I'm very lost culturally and politically, as I'm sure you are too. I don't really have or know of a vision of a future for us that is good and meaningful, other than my own within my family, and how I want my daughter to find the world when she's ready. But I don't think the world I wish for her to find is here right now. This is to say I'm not unhopeful or cynical. I have hope this will pass. But for now, I'm trying to hang on. But I'm here if you need me. Amen, pioneer.

Congrats to .fm and on the release of Platonics. Really grateful to be apart of this. Produced and recorded in my garage studio. Beautifully intimate songs, and FUN. Thanks for chasing ideas and letting the songs bloom when they needed to. Very proud.

The project known as Fur Trader is officially 5 years old. Last Year's Model was released 5 years ago today. I lived a lot of life before this, but wild how the time slips away. Very grateful for everything and everyone along for the ride. Having nostalgia for pre-pandemic life. This album is about my journey from Chicago to Los Angeles. Not just geographically, but emotionally. How difficult it was leaving and how strange it was landing. Feels like I'm maybe headed back the other direction in the next few years, to be honest. But that's for another post.

This album is super connected to the pandemic, in that I finished it during lockdown. the album was recorded in 2019 and 2020 and mixed by myself and . plays drums on it and designed the cover. mastered by .
