The 2026 All Nationals Drill Championships. NORTH POLE HIGH SCHOOL AFJROTC took 2nd place in the nation out of 39 teams. The team did a great job had fun and worked hard. We have a great group of kids and they deserve the win 🏆.

Congrats to the Air Rifle team for pulling 1st at the Service Championship this weekend in Anniston. What an amazing accomplishment! 1st (out of 26 AF teams) and 1st overall Sporter individual Cadet Wyatt Hamlin!

Good afternoon friends and families of our cadets! Yesterday our program received a unit assessment from our regional director. Our cadets and especially the cadet management team members worked really hard the past few months to get ready for this inspection. We are pleased to say we passed all categories with an A, and with an overall “Exceeds Standards” rating. As a result, all NPHS cadets have earned Distinguished Unit with Merit ribbon.

Two of our cadets, C/Capt Alhadir Bua, and C/Lt Col Jordan Nichols, received the Top performer Award.

Our Group Commander C/Col Inca Shannon was recognized with a JROTC headquarters coin for his efforts in leading NPHS JROTC.

Here are the 2020 Alaska State Drill co-Champions! We share this accomplishment with another outstanding Air Force JROTC unit, Eagle River.
Here are the individual team results:
1st Year Color Guard - 1st place
Armed Exhibition- 1st place
Varsity Unarmed Regulation - 2nd place
Armed Regulation - 2nd place
Unarmed Exhibition - 2nd place
Varsity Color Guard - 3rd place
Individual Armed Ex, 1st place - Christian Kim
Individual Armed Ex, 2nd place - Caleb Roehrig

In spite of our success, the season comes to a bittersweet conclusion as it is also the final drill competition for our coach, Colonel Mike Rauenhorst. Colonel has been a phenomenal leader, coach, and friend. He will be missed, but we will do our very best to carry his legacy forward. Thank you, Colonel Rauenhorst!
