The future was in good hands at Oakhill 🌎

During the 5th Grade World Peace Games, our students imagined what the world might look like in 30 years as they stepped into the role of global leaders. Representing different nations and working with governing bodies like the World Bank, United Nations, and International Court of Justice, they navigated a complex simulation filled with global challenges.

Throughout the week, students negotiated treaties, managed resources, addressed conflicts, and worked through complicated world issues that required thoughtful decision making. The simulation pushed them to think critically, communicate clearly, and collaborate with one another in order to find peaceful solutions.

This week long experience demanded creativity, resilience, problem solving, and teamwork. Immersive learning opportunities like the World Peace Games are part of what make an Oakhill education so special as students practice leadership and collaboration while discovering the impact they can have on the world.

A Major Milestone for Peace Education in Austria! 🇦🇹 ✨

We are thrilled to announce that the World Peace Game Master Class has been officially added to the Austrian teacher professional development program!

Thanks to the tireless efforts of Master Class Facilitator Doris Sommer, the program has been recognized by the University of Teacher Education of the Austrian Federal State of Lower Austria. This prestigious recognition means the Master Class is now available to Austrian teachers as part of their state-sponsored professional development.

This partnership is already in full swing! In fact, the very first Master Class under this new official sponsorship is underway this week with a full cohort. The enthusiasm from educators has been overwhelming—registration for this session reached capacity within just one week of being announced!

The World Peace Game empowers students, teaching them incredibly valuable life skills. Through a self-discovery process, students realize they are capable of much more than they ever imagined—both as individuals and as a collective.
