The video below is a great discussion regarding the use of AI music. It touches on licensing and copyright.

If you blend AI music prompts with your lyrics or parts of your music, and you'd like to get an idea of whether it is copyrightable, I created a sort of calculator to help guide you. It is the authentication tool inside mysongquest.com. The tool is used for in-house MSQ filtering (more on that later), but it could also be used to help with your copyright registration process. The authenticator tool comes up on MSQ when you use the lyric studio to create a lead sheet and then you try to share the lyric (or lyrical piece) or a music hook to the MSQ collaboration lyrical and hook search. In order to share it to the MSQ search system the content needs to be mostly AI free and 85% to 100% human-made.

Pre-Production work at Eccentric is easy. If you're a songwriter and you'd like to hear what your song might sound with drums, all I need is you, your instrument and a drummer and if you can't be here then just send a rough demo of you performing it. The end result of the session would give you a drummer's lead sheet (for other drummers to follow) and, a rough demo to present to the band or a producer to record your song.

The cool part is that if you like what you hear, you have the option of me producing, recording and mixing your song right here.

For many years I've operated Eccentric in the red and close to the line. When lessons cancel last minute and they are not compensated for I end up having to pay that portion of the rent as my client list is low. I prefer it that way for personal reasons however I do take a hit. Some people compensate, some don't and I don't chase people for it.

That said, I'll be starting to accept solo acoustic gigs soon to help curb the costs to keep the studio afloat. I am also available for audio production and commercial jingle work.
