"Can digital video coaching REALLY help me or my tween/teen grow as a singer?" 📱🎤🤔

It’s a question I get from busy parents, so I wanted to share this note that Gemma sent in her space in the CoachNow app.

As Gemma put it, having me in her pocket means she doesn't have to guess or build bad habits during the week. She gets expert course-corrections while she is actively practicing, wherever and whenever that may be!

🏀 Singing a high note is like dunking a basketball?! 🎤⬆️
Trying to do a big vocal jump in tune without sliding can be tricky. Thinking of our voice as a basketball helps so much!
Margot and I are practicing the octave jump in Taylor Swift’s new song I Knew It, I Knew You from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack! 🎬🎵
Doing an underhand basketball throw will create sliding, reaching, and straining 🛝. You won’t get that clean, crisp sound between notes you’re looking for.
Instead, we separate the notes and pretend to dunk our basketball right on top of the high note! Check out the video below to see the trick in action! 👇👇

Sparkly fingerboard tape for the win! 🎻✨
Learning string geography and finger placement can feel a little intimidating at first, so these fun, sparkly tapes make precision hands-on, simple, and super fun for our students. 🤩
Chelsey picked her favorites to help her learn her first few notes of the D scale on the D string! 🎵

Working on beat, rhythm and coordination all at the same time! 🎶 We had tons of fun playing Rhythm Hopscotch! 🎵 They asked for it at their next lesson, too, and loved making their own patterns and challenges! 😀
