On Saturday, many of our school families, faculty and staff gathered for the annual Back to School Mass at St. Brendan Church. During the celebration, all students and teachers were called forward to receive a special blessing from Fr. Tom. Following communion, students from the school led the singing of “Lord, Make Me an Instrument,” a song that will serve as a theme for the first part of the school year. Afterwards, members of the school and parish community enjoyed fellowship in the Our Lady of Knock Prayer Garden with ice cream treats and popsicles.

Besides the usual organizing and replenishing supplies, she reflected on Saint John Paul II's Letter to Artists, watched a video series on the Philosophy of Art and Beauty, visited the Columbus Art Museum, and researched St. Francis of Assisi and many other topics for upcoming projects.

"See You Later, Navigator" - Late last month, during a trip to Ann Arbor, 2nd grader Ivy and 5th grader Ronan enjoyed a special side trip to Frankenmuth and visited the world's largest Christmas store, Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. While there, enjoying a little "Christmas in July," they found an ornament that reminded them of home. They wrapped up their trip with a stay at the Bavarian Inn Lodge and Blast Waterpark.
