Due to the extreme heat that is predicted to occur tomorrow, Birch, Maple, Chestnut and Pine Elementary Schools will be closed on September 2. We have been monitoring the weather and the internal temperatures of our school buildings today and taking into account that tomorrow’s temperatures are predicted to be even higher than today. North Olmsted Middle School and High School will be open and follow their regular schedule.

The North Olmsted Fire Department is holding a Stuff the Squad School Supply Drive! Stop by Marc’s in North Olmsted today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to donate school supplies that will go directly to our students. Check out the attached flyer for a list of needed supplies. We had a GREAT start to the school year!

As we begin the first week of school, we ask our families and community to please be patient with our school buses as they transport students to and from school.

The first week always brings a higher number of transportation variances, and bus stops naturally take a little longer than usual. Our drivers and transportation staff are working carefully to make sure every student is on the correct bus, gets to the correct stop, and is following the proper dismissal procedures and bus safety rules.

These extra steps may mean longer wait times, but they are essential to keeping our students safe and ensuring everyone gets where they need to go.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as our transportation team works through the beginning-of-year adjustments!

Sodexo has leveled up the high school lunch experience with the launch of Crave—complete with fresh new signage around the serving lines! Crave brings new menu options to students such as fresh calzones at the pizza station. The snack station also added warm pretzels with cheese. Today's special was sweet & sour chicken bowl with fried rice and Asian vegetables. As you can tell it was very popular today!
