We learned about Michelangelo and then got a sense of just how hard it must have been to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel by drawing masterpieces while laying on our backs!

So much fun! We participated in water relays, giant soccer ball races, sack races, and more! They were all such great sports and cheered their teammates on throughout every game!

For the next few days, we will be learning about famous artists and recreating their works in our classroom! Yesterdays focus was Andy Warhol. Check out their awesome recreations of "pop art"!

We will be going on our beach field trip on Thursday, May 11th. We will be sending home more information and permission forms today. Please make sure to sign the forms and return them as soon as possible!

We learned how to represent an action through a symbol. Students drew a pattern (ex: square, square, heart..) and told their group what each symbol represented (square = jump, heart = turn around) and students acted out their patterns.
