🧲 3rd Grade Science: Magnetic Forces in Action!

In science class, our 3rd graders reviewed magnets and magnetic fields and then put their learning into action by creating a magnetic pendulum!

Students hung a magnet from a string and placed magnets around it, observing how the pendulum moved as they changed the position of the magnets. This hands-on experiment allowed them to see magnetic attraction and repulsion in action and explore how magnetic forces can act without objects even touching.

Today our students learned about the tefillah “Shaarei Shamayim Petach” and discussed how we can speak to Hashem and daven for anything that is in our hearts. They began creating their own Shaarei Shamayim projects, beautifully painting the gates with watercolors. 🎨🙏

We also explored the story of Sefer Yonah through a reading circle, with each student taking a turn reading aloud. Afterwards, students created their own Sefer Yonah comic books while discussing the important lessons of teshuvah and forgiveness—recognizing our mistakes and choosing to do better. 💙

A meaningful way to prepare our hearts for Yom Kippur.

💡 Why do entrepreneurs need a business plan?

Today in Entrepreneurship, our students learned that a great idea is just the beginning — having a plan is what helps bring that idea to life!

We divided the class into two groups and gave them the same challenge: make Play-Doh! 🎨

One group received a recipe with clear instructions, while the other group had to figure it out on their own.

The results spoke for themselves! 😄

Just like a recipe gives us the ingredients and steps needed to create a successful result, a business plan gives entrepreneurs a roadmap for turning an idea into a successful business.

🩺🦴 Little Doctors: All About Bones!

Our Little Doctors explored the amazing world of bones through a hands-on experiment! Students used cardboard tubes to represent bones and tested how much weight their structures could hold. As they added books, bins, and classroom materials, they discovered just how much strength a bone-like structure can have!

This activity helped students understand one of the important jobs of our skeleton: giving our bodies structure and support while handling the forces of everyday movement.

⚙️ 4th Grade Science!

Our 4th graders took their learning about energy transfer and Rube Goldberg machines from concept to creation! Working in teams, students designed and built their own machines, discovering firsthand how energy can transfer from one object to another.

Creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and plenty of trial and error made science come to life! ⚙️✨
