🎉 Congratulations to the five graduates of South Central College's Uniquely Abled Academy!

After completing eight weeks of training in digital print operations, these students have officially graduated and begun their three-week on-the-job tryouts at Taylor Corporation, bringing them one step closer to employment opportunities and meaningful careers.

Through the Uniquely Abled Academy, SCC prepares individuals on the autism spectrum and others with unique abilities for meaningful careers while helping employers build a skilled and inclusive workforce. This year's program was made possible through a strong partnership with Taylor Corporation, combining classroom learning with hands-on training using industry equipment.

We're proud of these graduates and grateful to everyone who helped make their success possible!

South Central College is excited to launch this year’s Uniquely Abled Academy, and we’re asking our community to help share this opportunity far and wide! The Uniquely Abled Academy is an 11‑week training program designed to prepare individuals with autism (and other unique abilities) for careers as entry‑level digital print equipment operators.

This year's program is designed alongside our industry partner, Taylor Corporation, to provide participants with hands-on experience at the job site in addition to 3-week job tryouts to transition successfully into permanent employment. Participants also receive individualized wrap‑around services and job placement support through our partnership with DEED Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

This program is truly life‑changing—for students, families, and employers. Please consider sharing with anyone who may benefit!
