As we wrap up our summer Arts and Science Literacy Camp we take a break this week, giving teachers a chance to prepare for our fall after school camps this year!

Last week in "To Infinity and Beyond" we studied sun and stars, played with magnet slime, and made spiral galaxies and northern lights art!

🌻 Extending our deep gratitude for Jane, Jules and our staff!! Also a special thanks to all of the children and their families for gifting us with their presence. ✨

Every strength has a corresponding challenge and every challenge has a corresponding strength.
🌱The inattentive child may be a deep thinker.
🌱The uncooperative child may be a good leader.
🌱The emotionally-charged child may be gifted with exceptional empathy.
🌱The rule-defying child may be an out-of-the-box innovator.
When faced with challenging behaviors, look for the corresponding strength, and focus on nurturing that gift while providing gentle guidance and coping techniques for the challenging areas.
That is the essence of working with, instead of against, our children.

🎶 We built these cities! 🏘

Arts and Science Literacy Camp was full of collaborative team work this week: city planning, layering city scapes, building neighborhoods, and don't forget Friday slime day with Orbeez slime! Oh, what fun it is to play as we learn and build each day! 🌇
