🎤🐝 CREATIVE FRIDAY at Westwind! 🌟

Today was all about creativity, community, and a little friendly competition! Our creatives enjoyed our 24-Hour Open Mic Challenge and Inaugural Spelling Bee, with plenty of moments to perform, participate, support, encourage, and cheer one another on.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our Spelling Bee winners! 🏆🐝 You accepted the challenge, stayed focused, and spelled your way to the top!

Whether they stepped up to the mic, took the spelling bee stage, or cheered on their fellow creatives, everyone helped make our first Creative Friday one to remember.

We are excited to share that the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts selected Westwind to serve as the middle school pilot for The AMFA Classroom!

Throughout the school year, our creatives will take learning beyond the walls of Westwind and into AMFA for immersive, arts-integrated STEAM experiences that ignite imagination, inspire innovation, and expand what’s possible.

A special thank you to AMFA CEO Dr. Victoria Ramirez and Director of Program & Partnerships, Ms. Fanchon Bone for their commitment to creating extraordinary opportunities for young people through the arts. We are excited for all that this partnership will bring to our creatives.

Join us for a fun, creative Saturday at the Windgate Art School, located inside the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. Whether you come with family, friends, or on your own, everyone is welcome to create with us.

Create your own colorful wearable art piece inspired by theatre costumes during this free, hands-on art experience. Explore bold colors, patterns, and textures while designing a unique accessory that celebrates self-expression.

❤️🖤💚 Yesterday, we were proud to celebrate Juneteenth alongside our community.

Our team, families, and creatives were proud to represent Westwind throughout the day as we celebrated community, culture, and creativity. We enjoyed meeting new families, sharing information about our school, and highlighting the power of arts education in Central Arkansas.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, played a game, picked up information, shared a smile, or took time to learn more about Westwind.

A special thank you to the Mosaic Templars Cultural Ctr. for hosting Juneteenth in Da Rock and creating an opportunity for organizations, families, and community members to come together in celebration, reflection, and unity.

Events like these remind us that strong schools are built through strong communities, and we’re grateful to serve ours.
