We have a great evening planned for this Thursday, September 10, at our Family Literacy Night! We’ll start with a brief PTA meeting before the night officially begins.

If you have a student in 4th or 5th grade, please have your Home Access Center (HAC) login code ready that evening so we can help you access your child’s information. HAC allows you to check your child’s grades and attendance anytime throughout the school year—not just when progress reports are sent home.

If you do not have your HAC login information yet, please contact Ms. Jennifer Skaggs in the school office. For security purposes, she will need to verify your information before providing your login code. You must be the parent or guardian listed on file for access. Your email must also match what we have on file for you.

Ms. Simmons 2nd Grade Scientist!

🔬🏗️ Science + Creativity = SO MUCH FUN! 🏗️🔬

Today during our science lesson, our little engineers put their creativity and problem-solving skills to work! 👷🏽‍♀️👷🏽‍♂️ Students were challenged to design and build their own structures using construction straws and connectors.

We didn’t have all of the traditional building materials we needed, so we got creative with what we did have—and the results were AMAZING! 🤩✨ Students planned, built, tested, and made adjustments as they worked to bring their designs to life.

I absolutely loved watching them collaborate, think outside the box, and take pride in their creations! 💡🏠🧠 Who says science can’t be FUN?! 💙🔬✨

Grandparents’ Lunch is almost here!
We’re excited to welcome grandparents to school for a special lunch with their grandchild. Forms will go home tomorrow, so please keep an eye out.

🗓 Each grade level has a different lunch day—be sure to check your child’s form for the correct date.
💵 Cost is $4 per guest, and we ask for exact cash only if you’re eating a school lunch.

We’re looking forward to a sweet celebration with some of our favorite people!

This week is in conjunction with our Book Fair. Be sure to stop by the library with your grandchild to check out all of the new books, trinkets, posters, and more!

Our first graders are making math FUN! 🔢✨ Today, students explored creative, hands-on ways to make 10 while building their number sense and problem-solving skills. They also worked with partners to count to 10 working on their part, part, total skills. Learning through play and practice makes those math skills stick!
