Sometimes you don’t realize how lost you are until you finally find something that brings you back to yourself.
In 2020, I was lost.
Lost as a woman.
Lost as an instructor.
Lost in the fitness industry and honestly, unsure of what direction I was supposed to go in.
I knew I loved fitness.
I knew I loved helping people.
I knew I loved being an instructor.
But somewhere along the way, I had lost confidence in myself and started questioning whether I was really where I belonged.
Then in 2021, I found Turn Up Dance Fitness.
I had no idea at the time how much that decision would change the trajectory of my life.
From the beginning, Turn Up challenged me in ways I had needed and wanted for YEARS. It pushed me to become more intentional with my coaching, my energy, my presence, my confidence and the way I connected with people.
But the biggest transformation wasn’t just in the instructor I was becoming.
It was in the woman I was becoming.
I started finding my voice again.
I started believing in myself again.
I started taking up space again.
I started allowing myself to be seen.
I started realizing that I didn’t have to fit into someone else’s idea of what a fitness instructor should be.
Turn Up gave me permission to bring ME into the room.
And that journey eventually helped shape the instructor, business owner, coach and woman I am today.
Looking back, I can see that 2020 wasn’t the end of my story, it was the beginning of a completely different chapter.
2021 gave me Turn Up.
And Turn Up helped me find my way back to myself.
Now stepping into 2026 I am starting a whole new season of life being on my own and sending my one and only baby boy to college! So now it’s time for me to tap back into “ME”.
I’m forever grateful for the challenges, the uncomfortable moments, the growth, the PEOPLE I’ve met, and every version of me I’ve had to become along the way.
This journey has been so much bigger than fitness.
It’s been about finding myself, building confidence, discovering my purpose, and learning that sometimes you have to get lost before you can truly find your way.
And I’m still becoming. ✨
