The Sigma Lambda Beta Education Foundation is a charitable and educational 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, separate and independent from Sigma Lambda Beta Fraternity. The Sigma Lambda Beta Education Foundation (SLBEF) is a 501(c)3 charitable and educational organization. Established in 2001, the Foundation is supported by tax-deductible donations and gifts from members and friends of Sigma Lambda

Beta Fraternity. It receives, manages and distributes endowment gifts, deferred gifts, annual gifts, and special gifts for the purpose of funding educational and leadership development programs.

From Opportunity for Wisdom recipient to creating opportunities for others 🎓

Brother Miguel “Bendición” Baeza Aguilera, Zeta Gamma Chapter, was awarded the Opportunity for Wisdom Scholarship in 2022. Today, he serves in Fraternity & Sorority Life at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln as the primary advisor for MGC and NPHC, supporting and creating opportunities for students.

His advice: “Take a chance on the opportunities that come your way. There’s always knowledge and experience to gain”.

Another incredible BetaCon is in the books! Thank you to every Brother who stopped by the SLBEF Reception, supported our raffle, and learned more about the work we’re doing to provide for our Brotherhood 💜

It was great to have a handful of SLBEF board and committee members at BetaCon! They appreciated all of the engagement from the attendees.

At BetaCon we also introduced our new Opportunity for Wisdom Fund campaign with a 2 year goal of raising $40,000 for future scholarships. You can learn more and make your commitment at slbef.org/opportunity-for-wisdom-fund.

In short, BetaCon was a great event and we are glad to have been a part of it!!

Brother Jose Valenzuela of the Gamma Zeta Chapter was our SLBEF Shadow Box Raffle winner at Betacon XL 🎉

It was a memorable weekend for Jose, who was also elected Vice President of Internal Affairs for the Fraternity’s National Office. Congratulations, Brother!

We’re still trying to figure out how he got that shadow box home 😅
