Swamptown Enterprises is a non-profit dedicated to preserving, protecting, and promoting the historical, artistic, and maritime heritage of South County, Rhode Island. Founder Tim Cranston has been named the official historian of the town of North Kingstown. We have written three books, 650 newspaper columns, and 35 magazine articles, led a mess of walking tours, and several of bus tours. We are n

ow working with the history department at the North Kingstown High School, aiding them in the development of a 12th grade Rhode Island history course. We ARE South County history.
