The Association of Black Social Workers of Greater Kansas City The ABSW is committed to enhancing the quality of life and empowering people of African ancestry through advocacy, human services, and research.

BSW, MSW, PhD/DSW-level social workers and social work students are welcome to affiliate with us, as well as those in other helping professions who ascribe to NABSW's values (see mission statement below).

The National Association of Black Social Workers, Inc. will work to create a world in which people of African ancestry will live free from racial domination, economic exploitation, and cultural oppression. NABSW will continue to leverage its collective expertise to strategically develop capacity of people of African ancestry to sustain and flourish.
