Today at our Quest for Kindness assembly, with Mr. Christopher, we took the magic school bus on an expedition to the Forest of Fear, the Mobile Ed Mountain, the Raging River, the Cave of Confusion, and back to school to find the Key to Kindness to open the treasure chest. The theme for September is Growing Our Faith. This theme is based on the story of the mustard seed found in Mark 4:30-32. The mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds God created but it grows into a very large bush. God can take our faith, however small it may be, and grow us into mighty flowers of Jesus. Our schoolwide memory verse is found in Mark 4:32. It is “yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.” This verse is talking about the mustard seed and our faith. Your actions that come through because of your faith touch
others around you. Let the Holy Spirit grow your faith that you may be a living
example of Christ-like love to others. You never know how God is going to use you.

In chapel on Wednesday, Pastor led our students through Matthew 16, where Jesus praises Peter for his wonderful confession, but then rebukes Peter a little while later.
Like Peter, our own walks of faith are marked by high points and low points. Thankfully Jesus does not give up on us when we fail! It was for failures that Jesus came, and our relationship with God depends not upon our own perfection, but upon Him!
