Inside STREAM Class:
What is this class all about?

STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Math. But STREAM class is about much more than individual subjects!
Through hands-on challenges, students develop the 4 C’s: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. These skills help students become stronger, more confident learners across all academic areas.
In the building challenge pictured here, students were given paper, scissors, and one yard of tape and asked to create a 3/D tower as tall as possible, that stands on its own. They had work together in pairs using the Engineering Design Process to plan, build, test, and improve their ideas.
An important part of STREAM is learning that things don’t always work the first time, and that’s okay! Students learn to rethink, make changes, and try again, building resilience and perseverance along the way.
STREAM isn’t just about what students create, it’s about teaching them how to think, work together, solve problems, and keep going when something is challenging.
