Have you taken the School Experience Survey due Dec. 6th either in paper form (went home about a week ago) or online: http://achieve.lausd.net/schoolexperiencesurvey ? Last year we only had 24% parent participation in this important process! Let’s get our parent engagement up to 100%!!
How does your survey make a difference? This anonymous survey is CRUCIAL to how school funds and other resources are allocated at the school and district level!! School Site Council (SSC) , English Learners Advisory Council (ELAC), and district officials use the data from the surveys to mandate how funds and other school resources are allocated. So, if parents complain about SECURITY, for example, or COMMUNICATION, Or anything else, then that becomes a priority spending line. All LAUSD spending is tied to hard data— either surveys, state test scores, etc. So your feedback has a direct impact impact on Reed’s (and LAUSD’s) Local control funding formula (LCFF) and Local control accountability plan (LCAP)— meaning the money spent at the school and district.
Please take the few minutes and complete your survey! Thanks!

Please consider supporting our STEAM teachers
We have a few items that our STEAM teachers are looking for help with. Our computer teacher Mr. Piedrahita has set up a Donors Choose page for keyboards and mice needed in his classroom.
