I spotlight stories that deserve to echo across generations.

At In-Flight USA, I’ve covered high-profile aviation events like the US Aircraft Expo—crafting compelling articles, contributing to advertising initiatives, and capturing impactful photography that brings innovation to life. With over five years in journalism, I’ve developed a keen eye for detail and a deep passion for storytelling.

As a professional speaker and TEDx presenter, I empower audiences with actionable strategies on stress reduction, cultural connection, and public speaking. My coaching helps individuals discover their authentic voice and communicate with clarity and confidence.

Beyond the stage and the page, I serve as Director & Mentor at Win Broadcast Network, Host & Associate Producer at KXLA Channel 44, and Event Host with Valley Cultural Foundation—bridging communities through bilingual outreach, legacy-building internships, and poetic storytelling.
If you're seeking a collaborator who leads with heart, uplifts with vision, and builds bridges across industries and generations—let’s connect.

Beyond the Headlines: The Remaking of Kīhei
We’ve all heard about the horrific storms that tore through Maui, but it is one thing to hear the news and a completely different thing to see it in person. On my first day here, I took a walk down South Kīhei Road. The sight of the barriers and barricades cordoning off these sections is, in a word, horrific.
What used to be a simple ten-minute drive now sends you winding down side roads—and that is where you see the true backdrop of what it looks like to survive. You don't just see the damage; you see the grit.
The Walk: A Sequence of Recovery
• The Boundary: Red Maui County blocks turn a familiar street into a boundary you can no longer cross.
• The Impact: At Kamaole Beach Park II, caution tape and broken crosswalks show where the community’s "living room" was swallowed by the earth.
• The Infrastructure: Near the Maui Banyan, the "bones" of the city—concrete culverts and utility lines—lie tangled and exposed.
• The Power of Water: Trees with unearthed roots hang over newly carved cliffs. The water didn't just flood; it reshaped the land.
• The Rebirth: There is a profound weight in witnessing this "remaking." It’s the slow, exhausting process of building back from the ground up.
🗓️ Critical Dates for the Community
• May 9: Emergency Preparedness Expo @ Queen Ka’ahumanu Center (10 AM – 2 PM).
• 📍May 14: DEADLINE to apply for FEMA Serious Needs Assistance ($770 expedited payment).
• June 14: Deadline for FEMA Individual Assistance and SBA physical damage loans.
• June 20: Target date for the reopening of South Kīhei Road.
• Ongoing: SBA Outreach Center open at Kīhei Public Library (Tues–Sat).
There is a difference between a news cycle and a life lived. Being here, you don't just see the wreckage; you see the incredible spirit of a community remaking its world.

🌌 Journey to the "Cosmic Eye": 100 Years of Discovery at Palomar 🔭
Did you know that the heavy elements in our bodies—the iron in our blood and the calcium in our bones—were actually forged inside the hearts of dying stars? ⚛️
This incredible realization (and so many others!) was solidified right here in Southern California at Caltech’s Palomar Observatory. Born from the 1928 vision of George Ellery Hale, this place is a true "time machine" for humanity.
What makes Palomar so special?
✨ Engineering Marvels: The massive 200-inch Hale Telescope mirror was cast in 1936. To catch faint starlight from millions of light-years away, the telescope has to move in perfect, silent opposition to the Earth’s rotation. Using an Equatorial Mount, it stays locked on its target despite the Earth's spin!
✨ We are "Starstuff": Legendary astronomers like Margaret Burbidge used these telescopes to prove that stars are celestial furnaces. Margaret didn't just break scientific ground; she broke barriers for women in science, proving that the sky has no limits.
✨ The Cosmic Ladder: How do we measure the infinite? By using "Standard Candles" (like exploding stars) and the famous Redshift discovered by Edwin Hubble, we’ve built a "ladder" that lets us map the very edges of the universe. 📏
✨ Pop Culture Icon: Beyond the heavy science, Palomar’s iconic white dome has been a Hollywood star since the 1970s, appearing in films and capturing the public's imagination for decades.
Today, Palomar is still hard at work, scanning the skies every night to catch the "screams" of supernovae in real-time. 🌠
The next time you look up at the night sky, remember: we aren't just looking at the stars—we are part of them.
Have you ever visited an observatory or seen a planet through a telescope? Tell me your favorite "space moment" in the comments! 👇
