First Week Back to School with Our Cafeteria Teams! 🍎
It’s the first week back to school, and our Nutrition Services teams are excited to welcome our students back! 🎉
We’ve been visiting our school sites, catching up with our amazing cafeteria staff, and capturing a few smiles along the way. 😊
From preparing and serving healthy, balanced meals to making students feel welcomed in the cafeteria, our teams work hard every day to support our students and their success.

🌽🍎 Farmers Market at Babcock Elementary!
Nutrition Services was so happy to be part of Babcock Elementary’s Back-to-School Night last Monday! 💚 It was wonderful seeing so many families and students stop by, connect with us, and enjoy our Farmers Market.
Families and students had the opportunity to take home a variety of fresh, healthy treats while learning more about the nutrition programs available through Twin Rivers Nutrition Services. 🍏🥦
And because it was such a warm evening, everyone loved trying our breakfast blueberry bread and refreshing frozen fruit cups the perfect healthy treats to help beat the heat! 🍓❄️
We’re proud to support our school communities by making healthy foods fun, accessible, and enjoyable for students and families. Thank you, Babcock families, for stopping by and making the evening so special!

🥤✨ A Delicious New Breakfast Is Here! ✨🥐

This Friday, August 21, our students are in for a fresh and delicious breakfast treat!

We’ll be serving fresh smoothies paired with a whole grain-rich mini croissant for breakfast! 🥤🥐 This exciting new breakfast item is a tasty way to start the school day with something fun, refreshing, and satisfying.

Our delicious smoothies are made fresh with real ingredients to help nourish and fuel both the body and mind of our students. Paired with a whole grain-rich mini croissant, it’s a delicious way to enjoy a balanced start to the school day!

Yesterday was the first day of school, and our cafeteria staff across Twin Rivers schools were excited and eager to welcome our students back with big smiles, delicious meals, and lots of positive energy!
🍽️ Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all students! No sign-up or application is needed. Our Nutrition Services team provides healthy, balanced meals featuring whole grain-rich foods, fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious choices, following the MyPlate model to help students get the nutrients they need to learn, grow, and thrive. 🥦🥛

🎉 Welcome Back, TK & Kindergarten Families! 🎉

Last Friday, our Nutrition Services team at Regency Elementary was excited to welcome our newest TJ and Kindergarten students and their families! 💙

Families learned more about the many ways Nutrition Services supports our students, including free breakfast and lunch at no cost and with no sign-up required for all students. 🥛🍎

Students and families also enjoyed trying some healthy treats while we showcased our delicious blueberry breakfast bread and frozen fruit cups! 🫐🍓

We loved meeting our new families and helping start the school year with good food, healthy choices, and lots of smiles. Here’s to a happy, healthy, and successful school year! 📚✨

🎉 Ribbon Cutting at Garden Valley Elementary! ✂️

Yesterday was an exciting day at Garden Valley Elementary School as we celebrated the ribbon cutting of their brand-new cafeteria facility! 🎉

With modern stainless-steel equipment and a bright, inviting atmosphere, the entire cafeteria is now a beautiful space for students to enjoy their meals, connect with friends, and create happy memories. 🍎

The cafeteria staff is excited and proud to serve students in their new space. We’re so happy to celebrate this wonderful investment in our students and staff!

🌟 Back-to-School Training: A Day of Learning, Teamwork & Fun!

Yesterday was a great day of learning and refreshing our knowledge as our Nutrition Department Team Leads got ready for another amazing school year!

Our Team Leads had the opportunity to refresh their knowledge on HACCP, with our Supervisors and Management team sharing important reminders about the role HACCP plays in keeping our food safe and our students protected. 🥗
And of course, learning is always more fun when we can get hands-on! 🍕 Our District Chef, Melanie Conley, led a fun and interactive activity where Team Leads worked together in groups to create their own version of a pizza. Each team had to weigh and measure their toppings, think about food groups, and make thoughtful choices about what ingredients would make their pizza both delicious and nutritious! 🍅🥦

It was a wonderful day filled with learning, teamwork, creativity, and a lot of fun! We’re excited to take what we learned and bring it back to our school kitchens as we prepare to serve our students another great year of nutritious meals. ❤️

🍎📚 Welcome Back, Twin Rivers Students! 🎉

We hope you had a fun, safe, and relaxing summer! The Twin Rivers Nutrition Services team is excited to welcome everyone back for another amazing school year, and we can't wait to serve you delicious, nutritious meals that help fuel learning and success.

📅 GCC/COA sites begin Wednesday, August 5
📅 All other Twin Rivers USD students return Monday, August 18

🥣 FREE breakfast and lunch are available to all enrolled Twin Rivers USD students every school day, so be sure to start your morning with a healthy breakfast and enjoy a balanced lunch with us!

We're also excited to continue offering the Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program and Farmers Markets at participating schools throughout the year.

Here's to new friendships, exciting opportunities, and a school year filled with learning, growth, and healthy choices. We look forward to seeing you in our cafeterias!

🌽 Another great day at CCAA Elementary! Students and families enjoyed our Summer Farmers Market, explored fresh fruits and vegetables, and learned healthy habits at our Nutrition Education station. Students also had fun with the smoothie bike and bracelet-making activities while our Parent Community connected with valuable resources and support.
