Nutrition Services has approximately 258 employees providing services to the students and staff at 58 cafeterias in TRUSD and area Charter Schools.

The fun continues as our Nutrition Services team visits our GCC sites at Rancho del Paso and COA Middle School! 🥳🍽️ From delicious, nutritious meals to school spirit and smiles, our teams are making lunchtime a special part of every student’s day!

🍎🎪 Day 2 of National School Lunch Week: Serving Up Smiles! 🎉

Our Nutrition Services team had some special guests join in the fun! Superintendent Dr. Carroz, Chief Business Official Ryan DiGiulio, Associate Superintendent of Human Resources Wesley Marshall, and our very own Nutrition Services Director, Leslie Pring, joined our hardworking cafeteria team to serve lunch to students at Northwood Elementary! ❤️

It was a wonderful way to celebrate the second day of National School Lunch Week, bringing district leadership, our Nutrition Services team, and students together over delicious, nutritious school meals. From serving up lunch to sharing smiles, it’s all about teamwork, building connections, and making mealtime a positive experience for every student!

🎪🎉 NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH WEEK: DAY 1 SUCCESS! 🎉🎪

What a FUN way to kick off National School Lunch Week! Our amazing cafeteria teams went all out with festive circus-themed decorations, transforming our cafeterias into carnival celebrations for our students! 🎡🎈

👏 A BIG SHOUT-OUT TO OUR SCHOOL SITES: Hagginwood, Regency, Rio Linda High School, and Fairbanks for bringing the circus theme to life with their creativity and school spirit!

🥨🌭 Today’s Carnival-Inspired Menu:
🥨 High school and middle school students enjoyed warm, soft pretzels with warm cheese dip.
🌭 K–8 students enjoyed delicious carnival corn dogs!

❤️ The celebration went beyond the cafeteria! Staff from across Twin Rivers joined in to serve our students. A special shout-out to our Police Department for joining the fun and helping serve lunch today! 👮‍♀️

Our Garden Valley cafeteria team lead and assistant recently received a special school recognition for their dedication and the positive difference they make in the lives of our students. ❤️

The recognition highlighted how these amazing women have worked under challenging conditions for the past couple of years while continuing to show up with smiles on their faces. Their kindness, patience, and dedication to serving our students truly make a difference!

🍓🍎 The Farmers Market Is Back at Village Elementary! 🥕🌽
The excitement was in the air as the Farmers Market returned to Village Elementary! 💚 Students were happy to try new fruits, explore fresh produce, and discover new flavors. It’s wonderful to see their curiosity and excitement as they enjoy these healthy experiences!
The return of the market is something students look forward to year after year, making it a special tradition in our school community. 🌱🍊

World School Milk Day is Wednesday, September 30! 🌎🥛 And we’re celebrating by highlighting an exciting addition to our school meal program!

💚 Nutrition Services now offers 2% milk!
Along with our new 2% option, students can continue to enjoy our 1% white milk and non-fat chocolate milk with their school meals.
