As of January 13th, DJI has eliminated Geofencing in the U.S. through a new update. Geo Zones no longer require unlocking; instead, they are now classified as Enhanced Warning Zones. To apply this update, tap ‘Update’ on the FlySafe notification in the DJI Fly app or DJI Pilot app.

Part 108 will be the FAA’s new Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) rule. At Commercial UAV Expo this year, the FAA said it would be releasing a draft of the Part 108 rule by the end of the year. Even though the rule isn’t out yet, there is still a lot we know about it.
